Never mind - I think I already posted it. Now my memory's going, too.

He really looks professional to me. You can really be proud of him. Sure makes our hearts feel good when our younguns do well doesn't it.

I swear - it makes me cry.

I'm such a sentimental idiot sometimes. I think back like 20 years ago when Bill and I were on and off and Chris seemed to be the one paying the price and me feeling like a total failure as a mother because the fights Bill and I were having in front of him were vicious - at least our words, with a little bit of slapping going on (me slapping Bill) and Chris, in his little 3-year-old voice begging us to STOP! And then going on from there when I was trying to be a single mom, working a lot, Chris going back and forth between our houses, and me being overstressed for so many years after that.

His life wasn't bad - Bill and I became friends again, Dan and I got married, and Chris grew up and seems to be thriving so I know I wasn't all bad as a mom. I just tend to focus on my downfalls instead of the good. I tend to think he grew up well in spite of my faults.

Emily, he is great! Would he had rather been in Hawaii ????

You can congrat yourself as a mom...it shows in Chris' attitude. Good kids don't just happen sweetie. You have fine son.

Thanks Rhonda! I try really hard to concentrate on the good instead of the bad but that's not always so easy. I know all parents make mistakes, but damn it! I was supposed to be PERFECT!
