Ideas.....??

my friend Cindy is getting married--her third, his second. They are just going to the courthouse, no big party or anything like that.

I would like to do something although I know she doesnt want any of the usual wedding stuff.

Any ideas? I want to acknowledge things but not in a showy way. kwim?
I will get my usual wedding gift--a door knocker with their name on it.
I was thinking though to take her to lunch to some place nice .

How does that sound? Or do you galz have any other thoughts??

That sound like a great idea to me...Just the two of you or maybe someone else with you. But some place she wouldn't normally go to for lunch.

I think a door knocker and lunch are good ideas. I won't get married for either, but they ARE good ideas!

When my friends got married 12 years ago, I gave them a food gift basket. She is hoity toity when it comes to food, and he isn't. One half was for her, a baby champagne bottle, some brie, maybe a little cheap caviar and crackers or something and some chocolate. His side was Miller Lite, vienna sausages, and Sweet Sue Chicken and Dumplings in a can.

I like the idea of that basket though

Lunch is cool too, you get to enjoy a nice time with your buddy as well!
